ContactMusic reports GOOD CHARLOTTE rocker JOEL MADDEN didn't have to think hard about what to get girlfriend HILARY DUFF for her birthday - she requested a sewing machine. Duff, who has her own clothing line, was thrilled with the top-of-the-range model, and has already embarked on a novel way to say thank you by knitting him a scarf. The singer/actress says, "It's so dorky but I needed the sewing machine to finish it because I'm going to put fabric on the back."
